COVID - 19 Update

April 28th, 2021

Dear Weyauwega-Fremont School District Families,

Many exciting things are happening in the district as we get closer to wrapping up the school year.  We have been very fortunate to already have hosted several spring events thus far.  Thank you for all those parents that have come out to support your child in our athletics and/or extra-curricular activities. Please remember to socially distance and follow all our guidelines so we can continue to have these events!

DHS and CDC are worried that Wisconsin might follow Michigan which is seeing an increase in positive COVID – 19 cases, especially in the younger under 18 population. Over thirty percent of the positive cases in the last two weeks have been in school age children. Fortunately, the district has seen no new cases. So please continue to make responsible choices so we can finish out the school year face to face! Below are the current county numbers. No change in our academic model.

Website

Our new website is going live on Thursday, April 29th. You can find “Everything Wega” on our App in the App Store. Included in this email is a flyer that can help.

As we transition to the new website, we will also be using a new mass communication system. This will replace our Sky Alert system that has been used for the past several years.  Hopefully the transition will go smooth and you will be getting more information on district/school happenings more often.

Sincerely,

Phillip S. Tubbs

District Administrator
